2. Apply the TENDERED stamp (or write the word TENDERED or
RECEIVED) on the pleading sought to be filed without payment of fees; Apply TENDERED
add the date and your initials. stamp or write

3. If the tendered pleading is a complaint, petition or other initiating RECEIVED
document refer to Case Add section of KyCourts Manual for instructions
for opening the case. Generate the next case number or use the next
pre-numbered file folder for the proper category.
4. File the pauper motion on a scheduled event screen as MNH (motion not File pauper motion
requiring a hearing) using motion type PFP. MNH using motion
type PFP
5. File the tendered pleading on a document screen using document type
TD and write tendered in the memo field. DO NOT issue a summons if
the tendered pleading is a complaint, petition, or other initiating
document.
6. Deliver the motion and affidavit to the judge.

7. Upon receipt of a signed order ruling on the motion, apply the
initial
ENTERED stamp to the order; add the date and your initials. Enter the
order on a document screen using document type OFP if the motion is
granted or OFD if the motion is denied. Give notice of entry of the order Document type OFP
by making a copy of the order that has been stamped Entered and mail or OFD
or hand deliver it to the moving party if filed with an initiating pleading
or to all parties if filed in an on-going case.
NOTE: Do not cross through or otherwise alter or obliterate the
TENDERED or RECEIVED notation on the tendered pleading.
8. If the order denies the motion for leave to proceed In Forma Pauperis,
the moving party has thirty (30) days from the notice of entry of the
order to pay the required filing fees and certified mail service fee or file
an appeal the judge's order.
