 The court may exercise powers of limited guardian or conservator or appoint one if:
• There is a disability proceeding pending, including appeal.
• There is a danger of serious impairment to the health or safety of respondent or
damage or dissipation to his property if immediate action is not taken. KRS 387.740(1).
