D. Residential Rental Permit Required

                                          General Bylaws
                                    Effective December 8, 2025
   (1) Except as provided in Section E, Exemptions below, it shall be unlawful for the Owner of
       Residential Rental Property to operate or rent to individuals or households Residential
       Rental Property, or any Dwelling Unit, or any Rooming Unit in a lodging or boarding
       house being operated as a principal zoning use, until the applicable Residential Rental
       Permit, including a Conditional Permit, has been issued. If the Property is exempt from
       the requirements of this Bylaw (per Section E, Exemptions below), the Property Owner
       shall submit evidence as to the appropriate exemption to the Town’s Principal Code
       Official prior to operating or renting.
