Whenever a new bylaw is adopted by the Town Council and becomes effective, the Town Clerk
shall assign it a unique alphanumeric identifier in the Code framework next in numerical
sequence to the bylaws then in the Code, with a suitable identifying caption. Whenever an
existing bylaw is amended or revised, unique alphanumeric identifiers shall, as needed, be added
such that its provisions fit appropriately within the framework of the Code. Whenever a bylaw is
adopted, amended, or revised, the Town Clerk shall, without further authorization by the Town
Council, adjust all cross-references in the Code to coordinate their respective applicability and
assure achievement of the legislative intent.
