The defendant’s minimum income standard required its tenants to have a weekly income that was at least equal to the monthly rent of a unit, in other words, a “4.33 to 1” income to rent ratio. Sometimes this information was given to prospective tenants in annualized form. This calculation was the basis for the information given to Roper that she could not qualify to rent the advertised house unless she had an annual income of $38,000.
