(i) A Landlord’s refusal to accept a check where the Landlord has reasonable
grounds to believe that the check was fraudulently or improperly issued,
or Cash that the Landlord has reasonable grounds to believe is
counterfeit, only during the period in which the Landlord is making
diligent efforts to ascertain whether the check was fraudulently or
improperly issued, or the Cash is counterfeit and thereafter if the
Landlord reasonably determines that such is the case. Reasonable efforts
to determine whether a check was fraudulently or improperly issued must
include good faith efforts by the Landlord to contact the issuing
institution by telephone or email within three (3) business days after
the Landlord receives that check; or

(ii) A Landlord’s refusal to accept a check where a Tenant’s check has been
returned within the prior three (3) months; or

(iii) A Landlord’s refusal to accept any payment of Cash in a manner which is
intended by the Tenant to unreasonably burden the Landlord, including,
but not limited to, a Cash payment that includes an excessive number of
coins or other forms of currency, or which includes Cash that has been
contaminated by a foreign substance that creates a health risk or a
nuisance.
