No owner, operator or occupant shall cause any service, facility, equipment or
utility which is required under this chapter to be removed from or shut off from or
discontinued for any occupied dwelling let or occupied by him, except for such
temporary interruption as may be necessary while actual repairs or alterations are in
process, or during temporary emergencies when discontinuance of service is approved
by the health officer.

Sec. 12-8. Egress from dwelling units.

Every dwelling unit shall have one or more approved means of egress with
minimum head room of six (6) feet six (6) inches leading to safe and open space at
ground level, and every dwelling unit in a multiple dwelling shall have immediate
access to two (2) or more appropriate and approved means of egress with minimum head
room of six (6) feet six (6) inches leading to safe and open space at ground level,
as required by the laws of the state and the ordinances of the city.

Sec. 12-9. Service for collection, removal and disposal of refuse.

For provisions relative to establishing and maintaining a service for the
collection, removal and disposal of refuse within the boundaries of the city, see
chapter 9 of this Code.
