Although Sykes labels his argument as to his mental incompetence as "equitable tolling,” RSA 508:8, and not the doctrine of equitable tolling, governs the statute of limitations for New Hampshire state law claims when a plaintiff is mentally incompetent. See Portsmouth Country Club v. Town of Greenland, 152 N.H. 617, 624, 883 A.2d 298 (2005) ("The doctrine of equitable tolling is applicable only where the prospective plaintiff did not have, and could not have had with due diligence, the information essential to bringing suit.”); see also Kierstead v. State Farm Fire & Cas. Co., 160 N.H. 681, 688, 7 A.3d 1268 (2010).
