dants undertake no analysis or discussion of the alleged inequalities under the law. At no point do the defendants indicate whether they raise their claim under the federal constitution or the Connecticut constitution, nor do they articulate what level of scrutiny they believe to be appropriate for consideration of their claim. In short, other than a bald assertion that the law denies them equal protection, the defendants fail to put forward a single element of an equal protection claim.
