Overall Population
Characteristics of the general population in Arlington provide a baseline with which to compare the
characteristics of each protected class. The estimated population of Arlington is 44,992 (± 53). These individuals
lived in 18,632 (± 393) households, with an average household size of 2.5. The median household income was
$103,594 (± $4,898); approximately 5% (± 1%) of Arlington’s population lives in poverty. Note that these
numbers include those belonging to one or more protected classes.
