The trial court appears to have granted Enterprise’s motion for directed verdict on this claim based on its belief that the whistleblower exception to the employment at-will doctrine requires proof that the violation of law or clear mandate of public policy had already been committed at the time the employee reports the conduct. We agree with Dunn that this narrow interpretation of the law is inconsistent with the purpose of public policy.
