397 charsKeeney believed Hereford fired him because of his handicap. In 1988, Keeney’s cancer required the removal of his larynx. He now speaks with the aid of a voice box. On September 27, 1990, Keeney filed a complaint with the Missouri Commission on Human Rights (“the Commission”) alleging Hereford violated the Missouri Human Rights Act (“the Act”) by discharging him on the basis of age and handicap.
