529 charsOn the evening of September 18, Errico ventured onto the balcony to look for one of her roommates. She put her left hand on the railing to brace herself while she leaned over to peer below. As she did so the railing immediately gave way, and she and the entire railing panel between two columns on the porch plummeted fifteen feet to the concrete walkway on the ground level. As a result Errico sustained various injuries, including head lacerations requiring several stitches, a concussion, and multiple fractures to her pelvis.
