350 charsAlthough we affirm the commissioner’s finding of a retaliatory discharge in violation of § 31-290a (b), the award of back wages must be reversed because of the failure of the commissioner to make “due allowance,” as required by § 31-314, for the payments made by the defendant during the period of the plaintiffs disability resulting from his injury.
