In this decision, we address only whether the Appellate Court properly concluded that the trial court had improperly directed a verdict on the plaintiffs’ strict liability counts. In making this determination, we necessarily must address the two issues considered in the Appellate Court’s decision: *373(1) whether the trial court improperly refused to instruct the jury that, if it found the defendants in violation of §§ 47a-7, 47a-8 or 47a-54f, the defendants were negligent per se; and (2) whether the trial court improperly directed a verdict in favor of the defendants on the counts alleging strict liability. See Gore v. People’s Savings Bank, supra, 35 Conn. App. 127-28. Thus, on remand, the Appellate Court will need to consider the three unresolved issues that had been raised by the plaintiffs. See id., 128 n.4.
