supra, 84 Conn. App. 8. The plaintiff commenced this action on January 16, 2003, more than two years from the date on which the plaintiff allegedly sustained her injuries. General Statutes § 52-584 provides in relevant part: “No action to recover damages for injury to the person . . . caused by negligence . . . shall be brought but within two years from the date when the injury is first sustained or discovered or in the exercise of reasonable care should have been discovered . . . .” Because the statute of limitations had run on the plaintiffs claim of negligence, the court properly rendered summary judgment in favor of the defendants on the first count. 4 II
