458 charsAppellants asserted in declarations supporting their motions for class certification and to set aside the judgments entered as to them that they had been unaware of the nature and effect of these “stipulations.” (We attach these declarations as appen. B, post, pp. 510-513.) Respondent did not contest the verity of these averments and, consequently, his contention that the court erred in granting appellants the personal relief they requested is meritless.
