On July 23, 1982, HUD published an interim regulation, effective immediately, prohibiting the identified eight lease provisions and asking that public comment be submitted to HUD's Office of General Counsel in Washington, D.C. on or before September 7, 1982, for consideration before the issuance of a final rule.
