for example, the tenant had admitted a breach of her lease agreement, and the trial court directed a verdict, precluding her from presenting a defense of retaliatory eviction. 604 A.2d at 1. We held that this was error. The tenant had presented sufficient evidence to trigger the presumption of retaliation, and it became the landlord’s burden to show “with clear and convincing evidence ... that its actions were not retaliatory in nature.” Id.
