Except as otherwise provided under the UCC, Article 9 provides that “a security agreement is effective according to its terms between the parties, against purchasers of the collateral, and against creditors.” Minn.Stat. § 336.9-201(a) (2002). Uniprop contends that MinmStat. § 504B.365, subd. 3 (2002), authorized its assertion of a landlord’s lien against the home, that this lien was not subject to the provisions of the UCC, and that it could be enforced by sheriffs execution sale without regard to Conseco’s security interest.
