Additionally, the defendants contend that the court improperly relied on parol evidence in piercing the corporate veil of Tea House. Specifically, the defendants assert that the court improperly allowed Bruñe to testify regarding her understanding of the key money agreement, which was that the key money payment was made in consideration of improvements made to the property by Tea House, rather than the right to enter into the lease. According to the defendants, this testimony was improper parol evidence, and this court should not review any findings that were made on the basis of this evidence. This argument is without merit.
