In other words, when “assessing whether an adverse employment decision is pretextual, [a court] do[es] not sit as a super-personnel department that reexamines an entity’s business decisions.” Espi-nal v. Nat’l Grid NE Holdings 2, LLC, 693 F.3d 31, 35 (1st Cir.2012) (quoting Gonzalez v. El Dia, Inc., 304 F.3d 63, 69 (1st Cir.2002); citing Mechnig v. Sears, Roebuck & Co., 864 F.2d 1359, 1365 (7th Cir.1988)) (internal quotation marks omitted). Rather, the court’s task “is limited to determining whether the employer ‘believe[d] in the accuracy of the reason given for the adverse employment action.’ ” Es-pinal, 693 F.3d at 35 (quoting Kouvchinov v. Parametric Tech. Corp., 537 F.3d 62, 67 (1st Cir.2008); citing Feliciano de la Cruz, 218 F.3d at 7).
