262 charsThe language of R.I.G.L. § 34-18-7 clearly states that said chapter applies only where a rental agreement exists. See R.I.G.L. § 34-18-7. As Defendant was holding over after a mortgagee sale, there was no rental agreement and R.I.G.L. §34-18-7 is not applicable.
