446 charsSection 9-26^1.1(b) specifies that an “ ‘owner of a home’ includes a sole owner, joint tenant, tenant by the entirety or tenant in common.” Based upon the plain meaning of this portion of the homestead statute, it is clear that one in debtor’s position — a general devisee with a defeasi-ble fee simple interest in the property as a tenant in common — qualifies as an “owner” of the property until such time that his interest may become defeased.
