B. Collection of the Judgment
The court does not collect the money in the judgment. If the judgment debtor (the
losing party) will not pay voluntarily, the judgment creditor (the party who wins
the money judgment) may ask the court to issue a Writ of Execution.
A Writ of Execution is a court order directing a peace officer or process server to
take the debtor’s property to pay the judgment. Property can include money, bank
accounts, wages or salary, personal and real property, or any other asset that has
value.

court clerk.
