C. Preparing for the Eviction Hearing
At the eviction hearing, the judge will decide whether you have to move out. If
you want to oppose the eviction, you must attend the hearing and present your
side. Bring with you any documents, photographs, or other evidence you want the
court to see. Also make sure to tell any witnesses that you want to testify about
the hearing date and time. If you do not attend the hearing, the judge will
probably decide the eviction without hearing from you. The eviction hearing is
described in more detail in chapter IV on page 17.
