450 charsThe final claim of the defendant is that the trial court erred in concluding that the illegality of the resale provisions in the lease under § 21-79 constituted an “unfair or deceptive” act or practice in violation of General Statutes § 42-110b of CUTPA. For this violation the court awarded the plaintiffs compensatory damages of $5356.70, punitive damages of $12,000, “disbursed costs” of $1312.35 and attorney’s fees of $26,405 plus taxable costs.
