The travails between the tenant and the landlord did not end there. Subsequently, the landlord accused the tenant of making unauthorized alterations to the apartment. Under paragraph 7 of the lease, the tenant is permitted to make alterations only after obtaining the landlord’s “prior written consent.” Paragraph 15 of the lease contains detailed provisions regarding the landlord’s remedies in the event of the tenant’s default.
