The majority stresses the “fact” that a tenant may have up to six days to prepare for trial. But as of right, the statute guarantees only two. While various discretionary actions may result in a tenant’s having the full six days, “[t]he right of a citizen to due process of law must rest upon a basis more substantial than favor or discretion.” Roller v. Holly, 176 U. S. 398, 409. Ore. Rev. Stat. § 105.125. Id., § 105.145.
