This court will affirm the trial court upon a finding that the “ ‘pleadings, depositions, answers to interrogatories, and admissions on file together with the affidavits,’ ” support the conclusion that there was no genuine issue of material fact. Urban Masonry Corp. v. N & N Contractors, Inc., 676 A.2d 26, 30 (D.C.1996) (quoting Byrd v. Allstate Ins. Co., 622 A.2d 691, 693 (D.C.1993)).
