768 chars. For instance, in Seguros Banvenez, S.A. v. S/S Oliver Drescher, 715 F.2d 54, 56 (2d Cir.1983), the Second Circuit discussed, but did not decide, whether a district court's order requiring the charterer of a vessel to post security on behalf of the plaintiff in order to release the vessel was an abuse of conceded authority or an exercise of power which the court did not possess. The court held that the order was not appealable because "although [the order] directs attachment of the funds, it does not direct that they be paid to the plaintiff. ...” Id. Subsequently, in an appeal from the final judgment, the court ruled that the issuance of the security order was erroneous. See Seguros Banvenez, S.A. v. S/S Oliver Drescher, 761 F.2d 855, 862-64 (2d Cir.1985).
