368 charsstatute, it does not follow that Draper brought an action under it, nor is it fair to impose the statute's burdens on Draper. Finally, it is important to note that the complaint undisputably provided Hagberg with notice of the claim. This was not an action in unlawful detainer and, consequently, any defect in the notice to pay was irrelevant. See Woodward, at 32-33.
