*245 The superior court also invoked the Act in awarding punitive damages, opining that "the sum of $5,000 is a reasonable award to the Plaintiff for a wilful violation of the Consumer Fraud Act." Again, we do not reach the issue of the Act's applicability because we hold that the punitive damages award must be vacated on an independent ground.
