Mr. Halpin testified at trial that the purpose of creating Bentley Ventures, LLC was to protect his personal assets from any liability issues that may arise. Mr. Halpin attempted to transfer title of the Cullen Avenue property by quit claim deed to Bentley Ventures, LLC. However, the attempted transfer of title occurred on March 13, 2008 — four days prior to the formation of Bentley Ventures, LLC, and was thus unsuccessful.
