¶ 43 A district court's determination of damages is a factual finding which we will uphold unless it is clearly erroneous. A district court's determination of damages is clearly erroneous if it is not supported by substantial evidence, if the court misapprehended the effect of the evidence, or if a review of the record leaves us with a definite and firm conviction that the court made a mistake. When determining whether substantial evidence supports a district court's findings, we will review the evidence in the light most favorable to the prevailing party. ***417Detienne , ¶ 24 (citation omitted).
