(q) The department shall notify the secretary of aging and independence of the pendency of any proceeding, public hearing or action to be taken pursuant to this section relating to any convalescent or nursing home, rest home or charitable home for the aged. The department shall notify the commissioner of the department of developmental services of the pendency of any proceeding, public hearing or action to be taken pursuant to this section relating to any intermediate care facility for persons with an intellectual disability.
(r) The department shall notify the clerks of the senate and house of representatives, the joint committee on elder affairs and the senate and house committees on ways and means within 3 business days of being notified of a long-term care facility's decision to close pursuant to department regulations.
