665 charsunit to a person whose disability requires the accessibility features of the particular unit even though another person not requiring the accessibility features of the particular unit would otherwise be offered the unit according to the tenant selection criteria established pursuant to this chapter. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, in communities where no low-income family housing was developed pursuant to chapter 200 of the acts of 1948, a preference in admission shall be given to eligible and qualified veterans for all scattered site housing units acquired by a local housing authority pursuant to chapter 705 of the acts of 1966.
