*476 Landlords have been included within the scope of the strict products liability doctrine. For example, in Fakhoury v. Magner (1972) 25 Cal. App.3d 58 [101 Cal. Rptr. 473], the lessee of a furnished apartment — injured when the couch supplied by her landlord collapsed under her — sued on a theory of strict liability. The court concluded that the landlord was strictly liable as lessor of the defective furniture rather than as lessor of furnished real property. (Id., at p. 63.)
