22.210.050 - Tenant relocation license—Required
Prior to the demolition, change of use, or substantial rehabilitation of any dwelling
unit, and prior to the removal of rent or income restrictions from any dwelling unit
which results in the displacement of a tenant, an owner must obtain a tenant relocation
license. The Director shall not issue any permit for the demolition, change of use,
or substantial rehabilitation of any dwelling unit until the owner has obtained a
tenant relocation license. In the case of the removal of rent or income restrictions,
an owner may not increase the rent prior to obtaining a tenant relocation license.
