780 charsPetitioner herein seeks to remedy a defective water leakage condition in his apartment by the responsible party and assure compliance with the Housing Maintenance Code (Administrative Code of City of NY § 27-2001 et seq.). Contrary to respondent’s assertion, this court has subject matter jurisdiction of this dispute pursuant to CCA 110 (a) (7). This section established the Housing Part of the Civil Court to address the enforcement of housing standards: "Actions and proceedings for the removal of housing violations recorded pursuant to such laws”. (CCA 110 [a] [7].) This section provides the court with broad power and discretion to recommend or employ any remedy, program, procedure or sanction authorized by law for the enforcement of housing standards (see, CCA 110 [c]).
