the premises as provided in § 55.1-1251. If the tenant enters into a payment plan and after the plan becomes effective, such tenant's rent is unpaid when due, or a payment under the terms of the payment plan is unpaid when due, the landlord may terminate the rental agreement and proceed to obtain possession of the premises as provided in § 55.1-1251, provided that he sends the tenant a new written notice advising the tenant that the rental agreement will terminate unless the tenant pays the exact amount due and owed as stated on the notice within 14 days of receipt. A landlord shall only be required to offer a payment plan pursuant to this subsection once during the term of the rental agreement.
