943 charsTo the extent Johnson argues upholding the circuit court's imposition of an in custodia legis procedure in this case violates article I, section 14, of the Missouri Constitution, she: failed to raise an open courts violation before the circuit court even though she could have, Rule 78.07(b); failed to file an after-trial motion raising such a violation, id. ; and failed to raise a point relied on regarding such a violation in her brief filed in the court of appeals. Accordingly, such a contention is not preserved for review in this Court. See, e.g. , J.A.R. v. D.G.R. , 426 S.W.3d 624, 629 (Mo. banc 2014) ; Brown v. Brown , 423 S.W.3d 784, 788 & n.5 (Mo. banc 2014) (per curiam); St. Louis Cty. v. Prestige Travel , 344 S.W.3d 708, 712-13 (Mo. banc 2011). Indeed, this Court "will avoid deciding a constitutional question if the case can be resolved fully without reaching it." Lang v. Goldsworthy , 470 S.W.3d 748, 751 (Mo. banc 2015).
