¶23 Here, the Hawkinses prevailed on their breach of contract claim, which entitles them to attorney fees under RCW 4.84.330. We reject DMC’s argument that they, too, are somehow a prevailing party under Hertz. In the whole of the litigation, the court awarded affirmative relief only to the Hawkinses. Thus, the Hawkinses are the only prevailing party and the district court did not err in awarding *13them attorney fees for the portion of attorney work to prevail on their contract claim.2 II.
