  “The findings of a referee, to the extent adopted by the court, shall be considered as the
findings of the court.” Minn. R. Civ. P. 52.01. The district court affirmed the housing
referee’s decision in total. Accordingly, we consider the housing referee’s findings to be
those of the district court on appeal.
