Sec. 12¾-2.1. - Commission—Membership and term of office.

The Commission shall consist of nine (9) members, all of whom shall be residents of
the City of New Haven. At least five (5) members of the commission shall be residential
tenants at the time of appointment. The members shall be appointed by the mayor for
a term of three (3) years and approved by the board of alders. The chair and vice
chair shall be elected by the members of the commission by a majority vote. each member
shall serve for the term for which the member is appointed and qualified. A member
may be reappointed at the expiration of the member's term.
