The issue to be resolved is the plaintiffs’ claim that the court improperly determined that they were not entitled to recover the legal fees the defendant had deducted from their security deposit. The plaintiffs claim is twofold: (1) whether the defendant was entitled to deduct any legal fees from the security deposit and (2) whether the defendant was entitled to all of the fees that it deducted. The first claim requires us to construe the plaintiffs’ complaint and the lease, and the second to examine the evidence. I
